There are many reasons that patients approach their dentist about treatment and one of the strongest driving forces for many is looking their best for an important family event. This was certainly true in Jean's case.
She had not one, but two, big family celebrations coming up: her daughter's 40th and her granddaughter's 18th, and the wanted to make sure her smile was as good as it possibly could be for the party which followed. She was fed up with looking in the mirror and seeing failing crownwork, perforated bridgework and worn natural teeth. This combination both aged her face and made her self conscious about smiling. And she wanted something dramatic done about it before submitting to those inevitable photos.
