Useful Advice following Veneer Placement

The following guidelines aim to complement the artistry and function of your dentistry.

Whilst your provisionals are in place you should aim to clean as normally as possible.

  1. Refrain from using your rotary toothbrush. Your hygienist will provide you with a manual toothbrush.
  2. Follow your usual self-care programme ie. using your Tepe brushes/floss, tongue deplaquing and rinsing.

You may experience some sensitivity, if this is the case use Sensodyne toothpaste. Rub a pea-sized amount onto the affected area. Once you have your permanent veneers fitted we suggest you follow your usual self care guidelines.

Avoid
Products which contain fluoride other than neutral fluoride.
Alcohol based products.
Chlorhexidine based products i.e. Corsodyl

An appointment will be scheduled with your dental hygienist to re-examine your gum tissue once your veneers are in place.
